Virtual Event

America’s shipbuilding industry stands at a moment of renewal. With the skills, infrastructure, and workforce to compete globally, U.S. shipyards are well positioned to meet rising demand for naval and commercial vessels. By modernizing production and embracing modular methods, the U.S. can meet Navy needs, re-enter the global commercial market, and spark a new wave of industrial growth. The result could be $35 billion in new economic activity and creating more than half a million jobs nationwide, particularly in states like Virginia, California, Texas, Connecticut, and Florida.

What will it take to close naval production gaps and restore U.S. competitiveness in commercial shipbuilding? How can policy, strategy, and industry better align to seize this moment? And what would renewed leadership in shipbuilding mean for America’s economy and national security?

Join us for The Hill Talks: Restoring America’s Maritime Advantage, a bipartisan discussion examining this issue with policymakers, economists and industry experts.
